DESCRIPTION
Crisp's Attachable "Monolock Crash Beam" SecurGate™
is an anti-vehicular intrusion system that is attached to new or existing
sliding and/or swinging entrance gates to stop vehicles attempting to
breach the entrance.
The system consists of a uniquely designed high strength, crash beam
that is horizontally attached to the gate, and bollard-type superposts
which are set into the ground. The Attachable SecurGate™ is a
simple, inexpensive, but highly effective add-on system. This system
is designed to withstand the impact of a 15,000 lb. vehicle traveling
at 50 mph (DOS K12 crash rating). A crash rating certification will
be provided.
APPLICATIONS
The system is ideal for use as an add-on to most sliding, swinging,
or double gates at entrances to industrial compounds, military bases,
airports, urban areas, etc. In fact, the Attachable SecurGateTM solves
the problem of entrance security for most facilities, especially when
ease of installation and cost-efficiency is of prime importance. This
device does not alter the operation (electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical)
of standard gates and gate operators, and provides crash rated protection
at a fraction of the standard cost.
INSTALLATION
This kit-based system is quick and easy to install utilizing non-technical
labor and hand tools. Explicit drawings and instructions are provided
with the product. If being attached to a customer provided gate, the
gate's ability to carry the crash beam must be confirmed.
MAINTENANCE
The Attachable SecurGate™ is constructed of ASTM A-36 and ASTM
A-500 steel, with a rust preventive paint resulting in a virtually maintenance-free
system. It is also available with a hot dipped galvanized finish, a
two part epoxy coating finish or a powder coating finish. In the event
of damage to the system as a result of an attempted breach, Crisp carries
a full inventory of spare parts if repair is necessary.
OPERATION
The Attachable SecurGate™ crash beam becomes an
integral part of the existing gate and requires no activation by operator
or remote sensor. When installation is complete, this system immediately
provides vehicle crash protection.
